A little more than a month ago, things changed so rapidly I was almost breathless to keep up. There was the last day at work, and scrambling to get paperworks done for school, preparation for school, and the most important thing was to hook another job before the month is over. Well it went over indeed till now until Borders called and took me back in. Yay! Books galore again! Though I can’t buy too much books now due to the straining shelves at home. You can actually see that it is heaving and puffing from all that weight of books that it has so kindly put up.
But anyway, going back to school is a great feeling. There’s so many things to read and I felt more inspired to do so many other things that I have long forgotten and had done ages before. The lecturers are all from Chapman Uni and I love to hear their stories from Hollywood. And studying producing in relation to Hollywood has opened new perspectives and insights into how the industry actually works.
We went on a field trip to Tisch Asia just last friday and we had speed dating to get to know the 2nd year directors who will be producing their short film in the coming months and needing producers to assist them in their filming. So we had this 2 minute speed dating session where we introduce ourselves to the directors and size each other up and see if they clique. Although I don’t think we will be able to work with each other on this due to time constraints, I think it was great to know each other and know that each other exist! Plus they were all foreign students and they are simply brimming with ideas and thoughts which I admire most. Plus the school was gorgeous, set among the greenery of the forested area and peaceful. And the whole building was painted in deep blue shade. Lucky asses.
