I’m lying down at a new homestay in Sungai Siput, Perak. I’m sharing rooms with Syah and we have each a queen bed. Spacious. And our own toilet in the room. I can’t complain. We just need to get our own towel.
We have another five days of shoot left. I’ve come to start liking Malaysia more now because it’s so huge that there’s so many places unexplored.
Of course there’s places where it is really tough to find a sense of city life or what I, a city girl, is used to. Like malls, Starbucks, bubble tea are just some of the few. But there is a certain beauty in that when you meet the people and look at their countryside, which you would think can only be found in US or Europe, the country surprises you. You start to discover they have beautiful and gorgeous landscapes! The people are also nice and accommodating in the countryside areas.
All in all, this trip moving and shifting to different home stays is tiring but somehow we get to in a sense explore the areas as well. Which is kinda interesting and fun. At this moment as well, while I’m lazing in bed, I can hear fireworks booming and sparking outside. Someone’s playing with fireworks. You can’t get this in Singapore for sure.
Random random thoughts with pictures. I thought why take photos and not show them. Rather than keeping it hidden, let’s just put it up somewhere for people to see and know their story. Maybe somewhere out there and sometime in the future, someone might be reading this and get to know the cats, the people and the location of this place and find it interesting to read more about it. And maybe explore? Who knows.
