Another year where my birthday passed swiftly like a train. And suddenly I am 40. How time flies nowadays. As I type this I’m already distracted because I remember I have to prepare the monthly manpower salary.
I enjoy weekends more now or basically treasure any days or even time off. I was cycling when I decided that maybe I should just sit down for awhile and write something down here. By the sea.
So what are my aspirations now that I’m here. I have no freaking clue. I don’t even know what I want for myself.
So I think I’ll just start off by rattling about what I did so far yesterday. I cycled over to West Coast Park yesterday to meet my sisters for breakfast. Just Anis and Asfa. Sara is still in Morocco. Hadn’t cycled in awhile too and today my ass felt it.
Anyway it felt ages too since I’ve seen them. So it was really nice to meet and chit chat again and laugh. Talked about work, life, science, religion and everything under the sun. If only it can be a whole day thing haha.
So after that, Asfe had to go off and pick my mum up from dialysis. So Anis sent her back while I continued with my cycle. I head down to Jurong East, passed Teban Gardens, Science Centre, Lakeside mrt and reached Chinese Garden Starbucks. They have opened up abit more of the park by the lake and it looks really gorgeous. There’s a skating park too in there and it’s really pretty.
Got myself an iced latte and drank leisurely. And then I cycled back home. Pass Jurong East, Jem, Tradehub21 and went down all the way straight to clementi and then Ghim Moh. About 18km. Felt great.
And then I cleaned up abit at home and finished up watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix. The ending was so bittersweet. Cried here and there. Hate the feeling though. It’s the choked up feeling of sadness where you feel you can’t breathe… same like when I watched La La Land.
So then decided to watch Transformers: Rise of the Beast because I’ve been wanting to watch that. Lame huh. But it was okay, script wasn’t so good. But can’t beat the first Transformers… as cheese balls as it was.
Then because we probably won’t have time to watch any other day anyway, decided to watch Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny. I think the story is pretty well done. It had the tone of the earlier ones and the spirit and heart of Raiders of the lost Ark. The new characters was not trying too much either and I felt they blend well with Harrison Ford. I love the energy but maybe too many action scenes. I got sleepy because of it. Or maybe I was just tired haha.
But I felt both movies had similar premise though strangely. The artifact that they have were both broken and separated so that they can conceal it from the bad guys.
Interesting. But anyway, it was a good day of movies and no thinking or worrying at least. Just a day of eating and movie watching.
To the next entry again. The rain is coming fast and I need to head home! Toodles!
