Today waking up this early doesn’t seem so bad. Maybe because I’m just having yogurt and coffee. So it’s easy to make and I don’t have to wake up so much earlier to cook and prep the food.

I love Greek yogurt. I think it’s so versatile you can eat it with anything. You can eat it with fruits and it’s almost like a fruit platter mix. You can eat it with peanut butter and it turns more wholesome and very filling. The next thing you know it can become a dessert! Eating it with chocolate shavings or using yogurt to make into a tiramisu.
Pretty amazing actually and it taste actually nice!
Again, I was too hungry to even take a picture of what I break fast with. So I shall describe them as detailed as I can.
It is a bowl of chicken cutlet donburi. Donburi is a Japanese word for bowl or rice bowl. So it is usually served with toppings on top of the rice like fish, meat, seafood or vegetables. So mine had a layer of crispy chicken cutlet sitting on top of the rice. And a layer of golden toned omelette with a side of sous vide egg and shoyu sauce which you can dip in.
The chicken cutlet was chef’s kiss. Crispy and satisfying. This was the same shop that I got my chicken cutlet soba as well. So lo and behold to my surprise, despite loving rice that runs in my blood, I actually dig the soba more!
I’m surprised with myself.
Today’s fasting was manageable. I think the coffee and the yogurt helped to sustain it. Although by 5pm you could feel the dip of energy and slight growls from the stomach.
Work sort of helped to pass the time way quicker. Or at least time flew by so fast when you’re busy. Didn’t even have headaches this time! So that’s great. But I love Ramadan so much. Despite the work craziness and the usual bustle you get on a normal day, mornings and break fast feels truly special. Quieter and you somehow feel focused.
Anyway, to the next lazy food Ramadan entry! Because seriously, comparing other people’s table feast to my own, it’s erm, sad. Haha. Day 4!
