Somehow the look of the park is very different from say West Coast Park. The trees here are more denser, shrubs and ferns growing wildly around. But they have this magical vibe which is not evident in some parks. I think it’s how the trees lean towards each other and how it seem to tap each other on the branch.
This picture turned out really great and I love the light and dark it shows around. Thankfully there were other people around and it wasn’t as deserted as it looks. It was the weekend that is. So perhaps a weekday would be less bustle. On to the next park perhaps!
Lord of the Rings vibes anybody? Yes, that’s the vibe I get whenever I come here. If you need a little magical feeling or you just need some trees to accompany you for a bit, this is a great place to do that. The trees are not the threatening kind but rather heartwarming and nice to be around. They seem to be quite chatty too as you sit and the wind breeze ruffles their leaves. You look up and the tree branches are leaning towards each other as if whispering about you or just looking down at you and wondering what you’re doing. A chuckle here and there perhaps?
What a small fry you are, they’re probably saying. But not after the trees see you are drawing them out in their papery notebooks. And a wave of chuckles and giggles from them.
Or at least that’s what I imagined! Haha! But yes, this park brings that out of you: imaginations and just allowing you to be slightly wilder in your thoughts.
It’s a really nice park. You should try and come by. Just sit down on one of the benches and take a moment to look up at the trees. You’ll see.
