Portrait

21/12/20 – Jewel, Changi Airport Singapore

I brought the camera out that day wanting to take pictures with the family. But somehow was too shy to do it. So when I happened to go to the toilet, the lighting was nice and moody. Didn’t use flash here hence it got a bit blurry. But I like it. The imperfections is me. 🙂

Taking a camera out and taking a shot can be so daunting sometimes. Honestly I don’t understand the emotions or the shyness of doing so but I feel like a ‘fake’ photographer. I have an impostor syndrome that is constantly doubting my ability. Either to take a photo or do anything creative for that matter.

Even putting this up here gives me a weird feeling. But I do it anyway because what are photos for if you’re not willing to share your motives behind them. Anyway I still like the blurriness to this photo and I think that is also the magic of instant camera. That you can compose and plan, but what you get might be different. So I like that surprise.

More blurry and magic of instax here.
